What is SQEP?
Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) is a process used to provide a benchmark for safety-related competency requirements for the individuals within your organisation. It will set a required level of competency for each post, or job, and following an assessment, will enable a presentation of the level of safety competency held by the present post holder. This will provide a clear picture of the safety competency of the organisation and can identify any shortfalls where training is required.
